A drop in fuel prices has helped lower earning households

Quarterly inflation for middle to low income earners has dropped by 0.7 and 0.5 percent respectively.
Stats NZ consumer prices manager Sarah Johnson says cheaper petrol is compensating for loss of income.
She says higher earners are benefiting less, but are getting a boost from lower interest rates.
