All Blacks great Andy Haden has died at the age of 69, after a long battle with cancer

All Blacks great Andy Haden has died at the age of 69, after a long battle with cancer

Haden had been treated for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, but a family spokesperson last week confirmed he'd relapsed and was "gravely ill".

The lock played 117 matches, including 41 tests, for the All Blacks between 1972 and 1985.

He captained the All Blacks on eight occasions and is considered one of the greats of the game.
