After almost 30 years of frustrations the controversial Resource Management Act could be binned

An independent panel has recommending a raft of changes.
It includes ditching the legislation and replacing it with a Natural and Built Environments Act and a Strategic Planning Act.
Report leader Tony Randerson says the RMA has doubled in length as successive Governments added to it.
He says it's created undue complexity... making it difficult for local Governments to interpret and administer.
