A confidence boost for the ACT party
A confidence boost for the ACT party
31 July 2020
Last night's 1 News Colmar Brunton poll has seen ACT increase its support by 1.7 points, lifting the party to 4.8 percent support.
The Greens dropped one to five percent, while New Zealand First pulled just two percent.
Auckland University's Associate Professor Jennifer Lees-Marshment says ACT's numbers reflect the party's focus on policy, and the End of Life Choice Bill.
She says ACT has been one of the few parties not entering into the recent political scandals, and just focusing on politics - which is what voters want.
It was another good poll for Labour - up three points to 53 percent, but not so good for National - down six to 32 percent.
