Three fires crews arrived soon after the fire was reported at seven o'clock, at the intersection of Marsh and Railway Roads in Southbrook.
They had it out less than twenty minutes later.
A Fire and Emergency spokesman says the truck and trailer was well ablaze near the Rangiora Pak 'n' Save building.
He says the cause has yet to be determined, but it's not being treated as suspicious.
