Fullback Matt Duffie opened the scoring in the Super Rugby Aotearoa win over the Chiefs at Eden Park off the back of a set-play, though it did see midfielder TJ Faiane initially slip over.
Duffie says minus the Faiane stumble, the move was one that first five Beauden Barrett had come up with.
The Blues take on the Highlanders this afternoon.
