A Summerset rest home breached the Health and Disability Code - for oversights in care of a woman in the final months of her life

In 2017, the woman had ulcers, pressure wounds and skin tears, and was understood to require hospital level care.
Management of her injuries was found to be lacking, with delays in seeking specialist advice, and treatment and recording keeping.
Deputy Health and Disability Commissioner Rose Wall says the home's care was inadequate.
She recommended the rest home give staff more training, and review wound management policies.
