Intensive work has revealed a physical link between two cases of genetically matched covid 19

The maintenance worker at Auckland's Rydges managed isolation facility who has Covid-19, used a lift within minutes of it being used by a US returnee with the virus.
It comes after an investigation into the man's infection by Auckland Regional Public Health, as he wasn't connected to the existing Auckland cluster.
Director General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield says it's a new and strong line of investigation.
He says the virus can be passed on contaminated surfaces.
He says it's excellent work from Auckland Regional Public Health.
