Some people are putting their own enjoyment ahead of the health of Auckland's kauri

Fifteen people have been served trespass notices after breaking the rahui on Waitakere Ranges' walking tracks last weekend.
The tracks have been closed since 2018 to stop people picking up the kauri dieback spore on their shoes, and carry it around.
Regulatory Compliance Manager Steve Pearce is all for people getting out and exercising under Alert Level Three.
But he says the closed tracks are still closed tracks and people need to keep out of the Waitakere Ranges and find another park to enjoy.
