Waste Management has withdrawn applications to discharge contaminants into the air for a new industrial waste treatment and tyre recycling plant next to its existing facility.
The company says the impact of Covid 19 and expected slow economic growth led it to review market demand.
Waste Management believes it can meet the needs of local customers with its Bromley plant.
Thousands of people signed a petition against the facility expansion earlier this year.
