Maddy Gordon and her family are overjoyed at her selection in the Silver Ferns

Maddy Gordon and her family are overjoyed at her selection in the Silver Ferns

The uncapped Central Pulse midcourter has broken into the 16-strong squad after a strong ANZ netball Premiership season with the Central Pulse.

She says her family were in tears when she told them over the phone.

The Silver Ferns will assemble in October with the hope they will play a four-test Constellation Cup against Australia, and a series against local teams before the end of the year.
