In Parliament today - Finance Minister Grant Robertson revealed Treasury estimates these two weeks of restrictions have cost 500 million dollars apiece.
Auckland was set to move out of Level Three tomorrow night - but Cabinet extended that to Sunday.
National finance spokesperson Paul Goldsmith says the cash is adding up - with an extra one and a half billion also being spent on wage subsidies.
