    Police are looking for witnesses of a fatal crash in Southland's Makarewa last Wednesday


    22-year-old Matthew Harris and his five-month old daughter died in the four-vehicle crash on State Highway Six.

    A teenage victim in Dunedin hospital has improved, but remains in a critical condition.

    Police are looking for a maroon Toyota Prado travelling south on the Highway at about 3.55pm, before turning into Branxholme-Makarewa Road.

    The driver or anyone who knows them is asked to phone 10-5.
