A bid to decolonise New Zealand's place names

The Maori Party wants to officially rename the country Aotearoa, and revert all regional names to Te Reo.
A former Maori Party leader supports the move, and asks if we should accept ignorant behaviour in this country.
Dame Tariana Turia says people have changed the names to suit themselves.
She says it's been made compulsory to use the Pakeha names - so why wouldn't Maori people want it to change back.
