An investigation's wrapped up into a helicopter crash during last year's forest fires in Nelson

An investigation's wrapped up into a helicopter crash during last year's forest fires in Nelson

The lifting line for the helicopter's monsoon bucket came into contact with the vehicle's tail rotor.

The pilot lost control, and crashed into nearby trees, suffering minor injuries.

The Transport Accident Investigation Commission's recommended the bucket manufacturer improve its design, and that pilots use a longer lifting line.
