    Bayern Munich have beaten Sevilla 2-1 after extra time to win the European Super Cup final


    The match pitting the Champions League winners and Europa League champs finished one all after 90 minutes.

    Meanwhile English Premier League sides Liverpool, Manchester City and Aston Villa have advanced to the last 16 of the League Cup.

    Champions Liverpool have crushed third-tier Lincoln 7-2 and face a plum tie against Arsenal next.

    Aston villa have beaten Championship side Bristol City 3-nil and Manchester City's edged Bournemouth 2-1.

    Meanwhile Tottenham's through to teh next round of Europa League qualifying after a 3-1 win over a Macedonian side.

    All White Ryan Thomas's side PSV Eindhoven have also advanced.
