Police are seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at the Pomona Street Discount Dairy in Invercargill yesterday afternoon

Police are seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at the Pomona Street Discount Dairy in Invercargill yesterday afternoon

The two men approached the store and presented a metal bar at the store worker at around 8.45.

The offenders then entered the store, taking cash and cigarettes before leaving on a motorised scooter and travelling west on Tramway Road.

Police say they want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the men travelling on a motorised scooter around that time.

They also want to speak to a woman who made a purchase at the store shortly after the incident.
