    A fire has broken out at a set of shops in in Orewa, north of Auckland


    The blaze was spotted in the roof of a single-storey building containing several shops, including a bakery.

    Four fire appliances and an aerial ladder truck arrived at Moana Avenue at 9.43am.

    A fire and emergency spokesperson says the fire is now under control.
