A sombre mood in a Lower Hutt suburb this morning following a suspected homicide

A sombre mood in a Lower Hutt suburb this morning following a suspected homicide

Police were called to a house in Burke Grove, Naenae, around 11 last night.

There they found a man who'd been assaulted - he was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Newstalk ZB's Jack Crossland is outside the house, which is now under police guard.

He says family members have gathered, awaiting more information from police carrying out an examination inside.
