A health expert says more needs to be done to support Maori in the health care system

It comes as a new study shows Maori Type-2 diabetes patients are far more likely to die, even after they've sought hospital care.
Otago University's Peter Crampton says people shouldn't be dying from diabetes, because it's highly treatable.
He says there certainty shouldn't be big differences between different ethnicity groups.
