Jacinda Ardern claims the public has been told as soon as possible about the latest Covid-19 community case

Jacinda Ardern claims the public has been told as soon as possible about the latest Covid-19 community case

The case is an electronics maintenance worker at the Ports of Auckland and Taranaki, who tested positive yesterday afternoon.

All close contacts are self-isolating, or have gone into quarantine -- none is currently symptomatic.

Ardern says they haven't been holding back information.

She says health officials have followed the normal routine of making the case public knowledge during the 1pm media briefing.
