Police working with Fire and Emergency around fatal East Auckland blaze last night

Police say they'll be working with Fire and Emergency to determine the circumstances of a blaze in East Auckland last night which has left one dead and two injured

Emergency services were called to the house fire on Minerva Terrace in Cockle Bay around 7pm yesterday.

Police say the injured pair, one in serious condition, were taken to Middlemore Hospital.

Six appliances fought the flames which had engulfed the two-storey building.
