Population figures show growth in most places, and a boom for the Bay of Plenty

Stats NZ reports the population grew an average 2.1 percent in the year ended June 2020.
The Bay of Plenty had 2.8 percent growth - more than nine thousand more people.
Northland, Otago, Waikato and Auckland also had above average growth.
The West Coast was the slowest growing region at 0.2 percent ... and the Buller district's decreased by 1.1 percent.
