    One person's died after a two-car crash near theTekapo township this morning


    Three people in another car have been airlifted to hospital, with moderate injuries.

    There are still extensive delays as the road is blocked.

    The fatality brings the road toll for the long weekend to three.

    A person died in an early morning crash in Gisborne and a male motorcyclist passed away after an accident in Upper Hutt last night.

    More people have already died this Labour Weekend than last, when one person died on the roads.
