    An investigation's underway following a firearms incident near Lake Rotoma east of Rotorua earlier today


    One person's in Waikato Hospital being treated for a gunshot wound.

    Police are trying to determine the circumstances that led to the person being injured.

    Initial indications are that those involved know each other and Police don't believe there's any ongoing risk to the public.
