Chrissy Metz is “very happy” for Mandy Moore amid her pregnancy news

The 40-year-old actress has said she became “very emotional” when she heard her ‘This Is Us’ co-star - who plays her mother on the show - was expecting her first child with her husband Taylor Goldsmith, and admitted she couldn’t be happier for the couple

Chrissy told People magazine: "I know that she plays my mom on TV and that we're friends, but I don't know, it was just really special and it made me very emotional. So I'm very, very happy and excited for them.”

Mandy, 36, announced last month she and Taylor are expecting a baby together, where she also revealed their first tot will be a boy.

Posting a series of pictures on Instagram at the time, Mandy wrote: “Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021 (sic)”

And the singer turned actress recently revealed her body is having an aversion to coffee during her pregnancy, which she is finding hard to process because she loves the caffeinated beverage.

She shared on her Instagram story: "Just sitting here thinking: will I ever enjoy coffee again? It's one of my major food aversions right now. I know - probably for the best but it makes me sad because I used to dream about coffee before bed."

And Mandy is "fully accepting" that her love of coffee will come back and insists it is a "small price to pay" for her pregnancy.

In a follow-up video, she added: "I just woke up from a nap to many, many folks telling me it is not strange in fact to have a coffee aversion. Lots of ladies had coffee aversions during their pregnancy so I am not worried. I'm fully accepting that my love of coffee will come back. And if not, it's all good. Small price to pay."
