Bindi Irwin is confident her brother Robert will be “the best uncle” to her baby

The 22-year-old conservationist - who is the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin - is currently expecting a baby girl with her husband Chandler Powell, and has heaped praise on her younger brother, Robert, as she said she’s sure the 16 year old will make an excellent uncle

On social media, Bindi wrote: "Shoutout to my little brother (who definitely isn’t ‘little’ anymore) for being such an incredible friend. You’re always there for me and I know you will be the best uncle when our baby girl is born. Love you. (sic)”

Robert previously expressed his excitement at becoming an uncle when Bindi revealed the sex of her unborn baby last month.

He wrote at the time: "I am so happy for you and Chandler! I can’t wait to meet my niece. I know you will both be the greatest parents ever and I’m excited for all of the amazing adventures ahead!”

Meanwhile, sources recently said Bindi and Chandler - who tied the knot earlier this year - have been “enjoying every element” of her pregnancy so far.

They explained: “They’re enjoying every element of the pregnancy and feel beyond blessed to have so much support and love from their family, friends and fans.

“Bindi decided right from the get-go it would be great to share her entire pregnancy journey on social media, and Chandler’s been taking photos and helping her with the posts – as has her brother, Robert, and mom Terri.”

The source also claims the couple have been “mapping out their future, reading up on parenthood and generally having the time of their lives,” whilst they await their baby’s arrival.
