An emotional John Daly has thanked his fellow golfers for their support as he battles bladder cancer

An emotional John Daly has thanked his fellow golfers for their support as he battles bladder cancer

The iconic American has a share of the lead after the first round of the PGA Champions Tour event in Florida, an eight under 64.

He revealed his diagnosis in early September and says he is humbled by the support he's getting at tournaments.

Daly says he is trying to cut back on his Diet Coke habit, and was proud to have cut down to six cigarettes today rather than his usual pack and a half.
