The defending champion Mako have dropped to second equal on the ladder with two losses in the last four, seeing Waikato take top spot.

Assistant coach Gray Cornelius says their focus has been on consistency.

Later, Northland host North Harbour at 4:35 before Auckland battle Waikato at 7:05.
