Covid-19 testing continues to be available for Cantabrians today
7 November 2020
It comes as all but seven international mariners from Russia and Ukraine leave managed isolation and quarantine in Christchurch -- to join their vessels.
235 mariners arrived in the country last month on a charter flight from Moscow.
31 of the group tested positive for Covid-19.
24 have now recovered and are free to leave.
Earlier this week, two health staff working at the facility tested positive for the virus.
As a result, free covid testing is available at general practices and urgent care facilities throughout the region, and at three Community-Based Assessment Centres.
Anyone is able to pop in and be tested.
