The business has had a 90 percent reduction in business revenue since the coronavirus pandemic took hold in March.
Brother Dan and Tim Alpe founded the rental company 20 years ago, and said it quickly became clear that they needed to bring in external capital to save the business.
New Zealand-based investors Polar Capital have brought a majority share in the company, with and David Cushing taking a minority share.
