New Zealand men's track cycling endurance coach Craig Palmer continues to marvel at the specimen that is Aaron Gate

Fresh off winning road events, the Tour of Southland and the national criterium championships, the 29-year-old's been named for his third Olympics after being included in the team pursuit.

He may also race in the Madison and omnium, depending on other selections.

Palmer says Gate's the ultimate professional.
