The island country's reported its second case of the virus - a man in his 70s.
He caught the same flight from Auckland as Samoa's first case, on November 13.
A Pacific public health expert claims this shows the system's working effectively.
Auckland University's Collin Tukuitonga says Samoa's defences are similar to ours.
He says we've had border incursions in New Zealand - and the system's designed to discover and isolate cases.
