Nadine Coyle had to be "gaffer taped" into her Girls Aloud outfits

The 'Sound of the Underground' hitmaker has recalled how she and her former bandmates - Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding, Cheryl Tweedy and Kimberley Walsh - had to be taped into their summer festival outfits as their weight would change during time off work between their tour and summer shows

Speaking on the My Wardrobe Malfunction podcast, she said: "You would do a tour and you're in shape and you're rehearsing. Dancers are throwing you around and then you get into your costumes and it's great. But then you take a few weeks off and do summer festivals and use the same tour costumes that you fitted into when you were in good shape. The stylists would have loads of gaffer tape on the side."

Meanwhile, Nadine previously confirmed Girls Aloud are in talks to reunite for their 20th anniversary.

The 34-year-old singer teased of the girl group's plans: "There's been loads of conversations and people now are getting in contact, like, 'What do we do?' It's still early.

"I'm 34 years old so to think that I've been doing anything for 20 years is shocking, isn't it?"

Nadine's comments come after Kimberley suggested 2022 would be a great time to reunite - especially as "everybody is busy" with their own projects for now.

She recently said: "It will have been 20 years in 2022, it's a long way off still. Everybody is busy at the moment, but I have a lot of love for all the girls, I'm proud of all of them.

"All the songs feel like a distant memory, but if I hear them then I think they're good, I'm glad I still get to spend time with the girls and see them. Our outfits were racy, but we were girls' girls and about looking glamorous and having something to aspire to."
