Lockie Ferguson will have the chance to push his claims for a red-ball recall for New Zealand A next week

Lockie Ferguson will have the chance to push his claims for a red-ball recall for New Zealand A next week

The limited overs mainstay has been named for a match against Pakistan in Queenstown starting next Thursday.

Ferguson debuted in the first test against Australia last summer before suffering a right muscle strain.

He's missed selection for the two-test series against the Windies.

National selector Gavin Larsen says he's close to the test side.

Glenn Phillips and Devon Conway will play next week in Queenstown as well as this week against a West Indies A side in Mount Maunganui.

That's where the Black Caps face the Windies in the third and final Twenty20 tonight.
