Jodie Comer finally knows what love “feels like”

The 27-year-old actress met her partner James Burke at a party over the summer while shooting ‘Free Guy’ in Boston, and she admitted their romance is far more “special” than any of her previous relationships

She told Sunday Times Style magazine: “You know, I would never want to speak badly about people in my past, but yeah, this relationship feels very different. This feels like nothing else. When you actually feel it, you’re like, ‘Ahhh, so this is what it feels like!’

“And it was special. I was away, it was the height of summer, I was doing this incredible job that was so much fun, it was my first time working in the States. So it was a lot of firsts.”

But things haven’t been easy for the couple because of the coronavirus crisis, as Jodie is back in her native Liverpool while James is in the US and has to quarantine for 14 days if he flies to the UK to visit, meaning they rely on a lot of video calls, but she's pleased they have been able to make things "work".

She said: “It has been tricky… there’s a lot of facetiming. But it’s working! It’s good. It’s really good. It’s like with anything in life, if you want it enough you make it work.”

Meanwhile, the ‘Killing Eve’ star is finally making plans to move out of her parents’ home, though she wishes she could stay until she is “old and grey”.

She said: “I’m definitely looking to move out… I’d live with my mum and dad till I was old and grey if I could

“[Why move out?]], I recognise I need my own space and independence. I just don’t want to do it."
