Australian basketball icon Andrew Bogut has announced his retirement, effective immediately

The NBA championship winner spent the last two seasons with the Sydney Kings and is one of the most decorated players in the country's basketball history.

Bogut says injuries ultimately ruined his shot at a fourth Olympics campaign, with the Tokyo Games postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
