6 December 2020
The Prime Minister was greeted by Maori elders and Muslim leaders at the Nga Hau E Wha National Marae.
The private meeting coincides with the release - probably on Tuesday - of the Royal Commission's inquiry on last year's atrocity.
Islamic groups are already calling for the Government to appoint a dedicated minister to oversee its recommendations.
They say a single point of Government contact will streamline the response.
Mosque survivors have expressed concern about how the terrorist was able to get a gun licence, and want hate speech addressed.
Ardern is expected to talk after the marae meeting, but appears reluctant to speak about details of the report before it's released.
