New research is seeking to improve breast cancer survival for younger women

New research is seeking to improve breast cancer survival for younger women

The Breast Cancer Foundation and Auckland and Otago Universities are investigating the characteristics of breast cancer in younger women, to improve treatment and reduce deaths.

Breast Cancer Foundation CEO Evangelia Henderson says hopefully this will transform the way younger patients are treated.

She says it will also give people a better insight into their individual risks of the disease.
