Hawke's Bay Police are continuing to provide reassurance patrols following several public incidents of gang activity across the region

Police have increased their visibility in impacted areas and are undertaking investigations into the offending.

As a result of the recent tension, several search warrants were conducted at addresses in Napier yesterday.

Hawke's Bay Prevention Manager, Inspector Martin James, says the increased police presence has had a positive impact, however he acknowledges tension still remains.
