Auckland Police are urging drivers to take care on the road, following a tragic start to the holiday period

The holiday road toll is at four - after two people died in Clevedon on Friday night, and two people died in Henderson on Saturday morning.
The crashes are still being investigated, but high speeds are believed to be a contributing factor.
Inspector Jason Homan says every person getting behind the wheel needs to take ownership of their safety, as well as their passengers, and other road users and pedestrians.
He says people need to take accountability for their driving.
The 2020 official holiday road toll period runs until January 5th.
