A real estate manager says Kiwis are buying later and larger

In December, Barfoot & Thompson made record sales with close to 15-hundred properties being sold at an average price of nearly 1.1 million.
Managing director Peter Thompson says this doesn't mean first time buyers are being shut out of the market - rather many are waiting till their mid-30s.
He says people are building up a bigger deposit through longer working years, and going on to buy better property.
