Tidying up New Zealand's waterways is boosting jobs

The Government's investing an extra 36-million dollars into a slew of freshwater schemes across the country.
It'll support freshwater farm plans, stock exclusion, fish passage remediation and sediment control activities.
Environment Minister David Parker says it's created over 800 jobs - and could create up to 413 more over five years
He says in order to support employment for people who've lost work and help the environment, they've invested in jobs for nature.
