Schools will be doing their best to make sure kids aren't disadvantaged by Covid-19 this year

Schools will be doing their best to make sure kids aren't disadvantaged by Covid-19 this year

Education Review Office research has found only a quarter of NCEA students coped with schoolwork during the pandemic last year.

Many schools also reported problems with attendance.

Secondary Principals Association president Deidre Shea says they want students to feel confident to learn.

She says it's about focussing on connections and relationships and making sure they feel supported.
