A campaign to enlighten drivers on why cyclists sometimes don't ride as far to the left as you might want

A campaign to enlighten drivers on why cyclists sometimes don't ride as far to the left as you might want

The Transport Agency has released new advice on the practice called "taking the lane".

This is where a cyclist moves away from the left, to avoid a hazard or prevent unsafe overtaking.

Cycling Action Network's Patrick Morgan says drivers need to understand cyclists are doing nothing wrong.

He says their intention isn't to hold up other traffic.
