    The Cook Islands have run up a bill of more than 50-million dollars, on a business wage subsidy.

    Its Prime Minister's now says the Island nation may need New Zealand to fork out some funding.

    About 70 per cent of the Cook Islands' GDP comes from tourism...

    Council for International Development's Josie Pagani says we should do something.

    She says there's never been a crisis - and Covid-19 is no exception - where the poor come out better off.
