The cricket world has come down hard on Perth Scorchers bowler Andrew Tye after he bowled a wide to finish their Big Bash League qualifier

And it's cost the Sydney Sixers' James Vince a chance at bringing up a century.
The Scorchers were never really in the same game, despite setting 167 for eight, as the Sixers reached the total one wicket down and with three overs remaining.
Vince had led the way and was on 98, just short of the Sixers first ever century as a franchise.
But the game has ended in a wild anticlimax after the first ball of the 18th over from Tye sailed way over Vince's head.
