The Ministry of Health is being urged to communicate clearly ahead of the roll out of the Covid-19 vaccine

The first round of vaccinations is due, just before this year's flu vaccine.

Medsafe has approved the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine and it's due to arrive some time next month.

Border workers and their families will be prioritised.

College of GPs medical director Bryan Betty says he hopes there'll be a lot of warning from the Ministry in terms of preparation for resourcing the vaccine.

He says the flu vaccine will come online around April so it will be a busy year.

But Betty says GPs have all the processes in place.
