Various efforts to enforce Auckland's southern border

Waikato district mayor Allan Sanson says there's checkpoints just south of Mercer on State Highway One, and on State Highway 2 at Mangatawhiri.

He says there are several other smaller routes around on either side of the Waikato River.

Sanson says Police are patrolling those areas too - looking for people who may not be sticking the sentiment of keeping Aucklanders in Auckland.
