Paloma Faith and her partner Leyman Lahcine have couples therapy "every week"

The 39-year-old pop star has opened up about life with the French artist - with whom she is expecting her second child - and insisted being vocal about how she is feeling and attending weekly counselling sessions with her man is the secret to a successful relationship

She told the 'Lockdown Parenting Hell' podcast: “I bring everything up. But luckily we go to couples therapy, which I’m a big fan of, every week.

“So we talk about things in that.”

The 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' hitmaker - who already has a daughter with Leyman - also joked that having both her children through IVF was "great" because she didn't have to have sex with her boyfriend.

She quipped: “[IVF] was great because I don’t really want to have sex with my partner any more."

Meanwhile, Paloma - who has been documenting her pregnancy on social media - recently admitted she is feeling so much anxiety about the world around her amid the COVID-19 pandemic that she’s refused to go outside again until she’s given birth.

She said: "My anxiety is through the roof ... Some people I knew approached me in the park yesterday as I was taking my little one for a walk for some exercise and I felt like I was going to break down into tears begging them not to come near as I scrambled to put both our masks on. They were so kind and empathetic and kept away but I vowed that would be the last time I step outside my house again until the baby is born."

However, Paloma is feeling "excited" about giving birth.

She shared in one post: "It’s starting to take its toll on everyone now I think. Gone are the weekend Zoom parties, the motivation to write, to paint, to think, to compose, to touch base with friends. It’s all a bit flat. So many people have been lost and so many parents are now ready to be qualified as teachers hahahaha (but not Hahahahah). I am very close to the end with my pregnancy now and it actually feels exciting, so I’m very fortunate to have something to look forward to and focus on. What’s kept me going is all of you who have shown so much appreciation for my album. It really is special to me and my personal fave record I’ve worked on. So thanks. I can’t wait to play them all live for you at the end of the year when better days are on their way! Until then though, remember that waking up and getting out of bed is an achievement so don’t beat yourselves up. All my heart, Paloma x (sic)"
